I’m often asked to what’s the difference between a life coach, therapist, and psychologist, and how you know which is going to be helpful for you. Essentially, each of these health professionals is doing the same thing – they are trained to help people make changes in their lives. Many people we should be capable of doing this ourselves, or that it’s a weakness consulting someone to help. My answer to this is, why do we consult doctors, naturopaths, dentists, or other health practitioners, when most of us have a reasonable idea of how to stay well? Mostly we consult health practitioners because our “unwellness” or troubles have not cleared up despite our best efforts, or because we believe there is some specialised care we need to get well again.

Whilst only a few people are destined for the greatness of elite athletes, every one of us has the potential to achieve greater things if we only knew how to set realistic targets, plan strategically, and how to stay on track to achieve the desired outcomes.
